Activity plan 2027
Defend. Build. Return.
Because HC Porto competes across the border, its sporting year does not match the calendar. 2027 is played in three acts: the national season, the preparation of the return, and the first half of the 2027/28 Liga Ibérica.
National season
- Portuguese championship campaign: the fourth title in a row
- Youth programme relaunched
Preparation
- Liga Ibérica 2027/28 registration
- Roster built, Portuguese players first
- Summer high-performance camp
The return
- Liga Ibérica 2027/28, first half of the season
- Weekly youth sessions
- National events on the FDI calendar
Four objectives
Return to the Liga Ibérica
Complete registration, roster and operations for 2027/28 and come back as a competitive team, aiming for the top 4.
Defend the national title
Win the fourth consecutive Portuguese championship and organise at least one HC Porto tournament or skills event in Portugal, open to all clubs.
Relaunch the youth programme
Recruit and train coaches, build an equipment bank and bring families and schools back, step by step as the Trofa arena progresses.
Develop Portuguese hockey
Equip and train players, coaches and officials, keep national team players competing during the pause year, and mentor other Portuguese clubs.
Youth programme
The youth programme restarts in 2027 and is rebuilt in three steps: relaunch (coaches, equipment bank, families and schools), learn-to-skate sessions on available ice in spring, and structured training groups ready to move onto the Trofa ice as soon as the arena opens.
Equipment bank
About 50 complete kids' kits (skates, cage helmet, gloves, protection and stick), lent to beginners for their first season, so that cost never stops a child from trying ice hockey.
Be part of the return
Partners, players, coaches, volunteers: the road back is paved by people. If you want to be one of them, our inbox is open.
